WordPress SEO
Plugin by
Yoast is by far one of the best SEO plugin I have come across for WordPress. One of the best thing about the plugin is that fact that it does most of the SEO related task with having one plugin. Yoast constantly updates the plugin to add new features which is great but at times some things might break , for example I was getting a 404 Page when I was trying to access the
Categories /
Tag XML Sitemap.
Thankfully there is a simple fix to resolve the issue. All you have to do is make sure the tags and categories are set to Always Include in Include in sitemap?: option in the edit Categories / Tag Screen. If you want step by step instruction read on
- Log in to the Admin Panel
- From the left sidebar go in to Post >> Categories
- Hover on any category and click on edit
- Scroll down to the end to Include in sitemap?: make sure you select Always Include
- Click on update
Repeat for Tags and test out the Categories / Tag XML sitemaps on your site and they should work. If you have any issues or if this fixes your issue , please drop us a comment below or give me a shout on Google+
